WARM SEASON GRASSES

SORGHUM SUDANS & SUDAN HYBRID

NOTICE: From time to time, supplies of Certified Organic Seed run out. When this occurs, we use the organic seeds (in a mixture) that we still have and then use Untreated non-GMO seed for the remainder of the mixture. We will then issue a non-GMO letter upon request.

Sudan AS9301 is now available in organic (BMR Gene 6). This great performer is fast becoming the value-added sudangrass for livestock in our trials and last year’s results were very impressive.

We expect to see a clear shift from sorghum-sudangrass to sudangrass like AS9301 for these reasons:

  • Tremendous palatability; cows love it
  • BMR Gene 6 is the best of all sudangrasses
  • Dry stalk great for haylage or dry hay in dry weather
  • Comparable yield to sorghum x sudan but better, faster regrowth
  • In 2014 AS9301 had the best disease resistance of all the sudangrasses
