Diversity That Works
Our diverse Byron Seeds cover crop mixes are formulated following the same principles we have learned with TerraLife (over 90 years of European research in cover crops). We carefully select the families, species, and ratios to utilize upper, middle, and lower canopy to maximize sunlight capture for nutrient cycling. We are also mindful of root structures and seek to fill a greater portion of the soil profile with roots to produce more root exudates for better soil health.

potential. - Good mix to follow small grain harvest; corn can perform well following this mix.

- A fast-establishing mix designed for weed control with summer grazing potential (if grazed, the sorghum-sudan will be the only species to re-grow).
- Sorghum-sudan and buckwheat are powerful mycorrhizae builders while Sunn hemp and cowpeas add some nitrogen fixing.
